Newsletter #60
August 2025

Want to know what’s happening at TWN?
You’ve come to the right place!
Once each month, we’ll send you our newsletter to keep you in the know.
It’s back-to-school time!
Florrie and her friend, Finn, are ready.

Looking for a project?
Some folks might think we stop crafting when the weather gets warm.
Not us!
Add a pom to the Dustland Hat by Stephen West and you’ve got your Christmas gifting started.

What are you gifting?
Back-to-school time is the time for a new backpack or lunchbox.
Remember. . . personalization is included in the purchase price.

What’s new?
It’s really on the way!
The August colorway from Emma’s Yarn has us thinking of fall days.

This is the end of Knitted Wit’s National Park collection.
The August colorways are Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Zion, and Great Smoky Mountains.
We still have a few of the past colorways in the store, so stop by or take a look on our website.

What are you making?
Isn’t it fun to share your current project (or projects!) with friends?
We love sharing with each other and with our customers.
Beautiful!
A friend of Lucile’s is going to be blessed with this prayer shawl.

Myra has two sweet grandpeeps coming, so what did she do?
Knit two blankets!

Look at those colors!
Hannah knit this gorgeous cowl.

Maddie knit her first pair of socks.
You go, girl!

Phoebe has the cutest ESC named Penny!
Her mom, Hannah, made it for her.

Bookish Beverly is knitting a hat for a friend.

It’s finished!
Sparkle Girl Debbie finished the stitching on her cute only-a-little-spooky cross stitch project.

Can’t wait to see this!
Boss Lady Gayla is going to turn this old quilt top into a jacket!

What’s happening?
September 16th will the TWN’s 10th anniversary!
There’s going to be a party, so keep you eye on our social media posts.

What’s the UFO number for this month?
Do you see them?
They're watching you!
All those unfinished projects----
If you’re looking for a fun way to finish your WIPs or begin some new projects, this is the way to do it.
It’s never too late to join us!
Begin by making a list of projects– twelve or fewer will work.
Your list of twelve projects can include unfinished projects, new projects, parts of a large project, or a combination of the three. Each month, we'll draw a number which will identify the project you'll work on over the coming month. On the third Thursday of each month, we'll meet to share our projects and choose a new number. Just think! At the end of the year, you'll feel so good with all those FOs!
May - #1 (#11 is the floater this year)
*Next UFO meeting - (No August meeting) - next will be September 18th

What? UFO - Unfinished Objects
When? Third Thursday of each month 5:00 until 7:00
How? Work on the chosen number project from your list until the third Thursday
**For UFO projects, yarn does not have to be purchased from TWN.

Needle Notes
Hello, everyone—
Buses are rolling and there seems to be the slightest change in the air. Even though it’s still hot outside, we’re feeling those fall vibes. It’s time to finish WIPS, begin new projects, and look forward to the coming season. If you want to get in the mood with us, stop by and squish some yarn. We’ll be looking for you!
Take care,
Gayla
