The Wooden Needle Newsletter - October 2025

Newsletter #62

October 2025

Want to know what’s happening at TWN?

You’ve come to the right place!

Once each month, we’ll send you our newsletter to keep you in the know.

Fall is here!

Looking for a project?

How about a daddy/daughter gift?

Or a big sister/little sister combo?

We think the Knit Stitch Beanie by Noemi Zimmer is perfect for gift knitting!

What are you gifting?

We don’t think you can ever have too many tote bags, which is why we think anyone would appreciate a Botanical tote and pouches set.

What’s new?

Pumpkins and bonfires and fall— oh my!

That’s the look of Emma’s Yarn in the crazy beautiful October ‘25 colorway!

We now carry Jody Long Andeamo Lite Painted!

It’s a beautiful blend of wool and alpaca in worsted weight.

What are you making?

Isn’t it fun to share your current project (or projects!) with friends?

We love sharing with each other and with our customers.

Hannah has been super busy.

She’s knit a t-shirt and sewn a quilted jacket!

Matt’s sleeveless top turned out great.

Way to go, Matt!

Mary Beth knit a top, too.

It looks lovely on her!

Lesley has been busy!

She’s created some special pieces for sweet little ones.

Bookish Beverly is starting a shop sample in these autumnal colorways.

She’ll be knitting the Smock O’Clock by Stephen West.

We love the way all these colorways work together on the Give Me the Slip shawl that Sparkle Girl Debbie is knitting.

Boss Lady Gayla is knitting a cardigan in Rowan Felted Tweed Aran.

It is going to be beautiful!

What’s happening?

It's time for the 82nd annual Trenton Halloween Carnival!

What’s the UFO number for this month?

Do you see them?

They're watching you!

All those unfinished projects----

If you’re looking for a fun way to finish your WIPs or begin some new projects, this is the way to do it.

**Be thinking about your list and join us in January!

Begin by making a list of projects– twelve or fewer will work.

Your list of twelve projects can include unfinished projects, new projects, parts of a large project, or a combination of the three. Each month, we'll draw a number which will identify the project you'll work on over the coming month. On the third Thursday of each month, we'll meet to share our projects and choose a new number. Just think! At the end of the year, you'll feel so good with all those FOs!

September - #2 (#11 is the floater this year)

*Next UFO meeting - Thursday, October 16th

What? UFO - Unfinished Objects

When? Third Thursday of each month 5:00 until 7:00

How? Work on the chosen number project from your list until the third Thursday

**For UFO projects, yarn does not have to be purchased from TWN.

Join us for Workshop Wednesdays!

Needle Notes

Hello, everyone—

We are so ready for fall and all that it brings around here— especially cooler temps! There’s something about this season that gets us in the mood for starting new projects, whether they're Christmas gifts or just something cozy comfy like a shawl or sweater. If you’re looking to start a new project, we hope you’ll stop by and let us help you find the just-right one. We’ll be looking for you!

Take care,

 Gayla
