The Wooden Needle Newsletter - January 2026

Newsletter #65

January 2026

Want to know what’s happening at TWN?

You’ve come to the right place!

Once each month, we’ll send you our newsletter to keep you in the know.

Happy New Year!

Looking for a project?

It’s a new year, so try something new!

You can’t go wrong with a Jessica Long embroidery kit.

Everything is included—  even the needle!

What are you gifting?

Everyone can use a new tote!

Remember. . . personalization is included in the purchase price at TWN.

What’s new?

Snowy skies!

That’s the look of Emma’s Yarn in the crazy beautiful January ‘26 colorway!

Choose a pattern and choose a kit!

Boss Lady Gayla has created kits that will work with three (3!) different patterns.

Pick the Smock O’Clock shawl, Chestnut cowl, or Erna scarf and then pick your yarn to create a beautiful accessory.

What are you making?

Isn’t it fun to share your current project (or projects!) with friends?

We love sharing with each other and with our customers.

Maddie knit a beautiful pair of socks.

You go, girl!

Bookish Beverly has lots and lots and lots of leftover sock yarn.

She’s using it to knit the Habitation Throw by Curious Handmade.

Sparkle Girl Debbie is one talented girl!

She’s completed gorgeous cross stitch and needlepoint projects.

Wow!

This scrappy hat knit by Boss Lady Gayla is too cute.

What’s happening?

What’s the UFO number for this month?

Do you see them?

They're watching you!

All those unfinished projects----

JOIN US IN JANUARY!

If you’re looking for a fun way to finish your WIPs or begin some new projects, this is the way to do it.

Begin by making a list of twelve projects.

Your project list can include unfinished projects, new projects, parts of a large project, or a combination of the three. Each month, we'll draw a number which will identify the project you'll work on over the coming month. On the third Thursday of each month, we'll meet to share our projects and choose a new number. Just think! At the end of the year, you'll feel so good with all those FOs!

January - We’ll choose our first number and the floater number.

*Next UFO meeting - Thursday, January 15th

What? UFO - Unfinished Objects

When? Third Thursday of each month 5:00 until 7:00

How? Work on the chosen number project from your list until the third Thursday

**For UFO projects, yarn does not have to be purchased from TWN.

Join us for Workshop Wednesdays!

Every month or so, we’ll begin a new project together.
