Size US 4/3.5mm knitting needles, or size needed to obtain gauge. 7 buttons.

GAUGE
22 sts and 30 rows to 4”/10cm, over plain Stockinette st;
22 sts and 25 rows to 4”/10cm, over patterned Stockinette st, both using US 4/3.5mm needles.
